You can play using your 4-string, just turning 1 tone down the "E" string.
But the new notes will be by your account.

The third DREAM THEATER instrumental song, in my personal opinion this one
has no MUCH techniques to play like the two others before, but it flows on
FEELING by every pore!

Here comes my SUGESTION to play the riff from 3:09 until 3:14.
Hey, I am not telling you TO DO this way, it's just a sugestion little
diferent and be sure that everybody around will get impressed to see you
playing this way, like Bass solo of Metropolis.
