I'm not sure if it's really D Standard or C#. I guess that both work. 
It's very much probably C#, though.
I wrote some by ear and some by watching a live performance and trying to decipher Scott's playing.
I reccommend heavy distortion to play it... maybe a BOSS DS-1 (or anyway a guitar pedal).
